Harry Kane accidentally says "It’s always nice to get a last minute winner" after equalising vs Chelsea

A slip of the tongue.

Harry Kane accidentally said he scored a 'last minute winner' following Tottenham Hotspur's 2-2 draw with Chelsea. Check out the footage below:

Sunday's action-packed clash at Stamford Bridge brought the fireworks as managers Thomas Tuchel and Antonio Conte came to blows on two separate occasions.

The points were shared after Kane headed home a late header from a corner and in a chat with BBC Sport, he had a slight slip of the tongue.

Kane explained: "Always nice to score a last minute winner so we come away feeling happy with a point."

When reminded he'd only equalised by Guy Mowbray, the England international looked visibly shocked and replied: "Oh yeah, that's sometimes the way it goes.

"Overall we probably didn't deserve a point from the game but we dug deep. Still stuff to work on but an important point away from home."

A simple mistake to make in the heat of the moment. Fans on social media were quick to mock Kane however and joked it was the 'most Spursy' comment ever.

One person said: "Did these mans think they won the game?"

Another put: "Look how happy he is does he know he doesn't get a trophy for drawing against us."

A third commented: "Waiting for the DVD on this momentous game."

While another added: "The smallest club mentality I've ever seen."

Kalidou Koulibaly gave Chelsea a deserved lead in the first half with a lovely volley, his first goal in English football.

The Blues dominated much of the first half and Spurs looked lethargic after a promising opening day victory over Southampton.

Spurs came out for the second half with renewed purpose and equalised through Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg's low drive.

It all kicked off between Tuchel and Conte at this point and both men had to be restrained by their respective coaching staffs.

Reece James put Chelsea ahead again with 13 minutes to go, which saw Tuchel run down the touchline in celebration.

It was too soon however as Kane popped up in the 96th minute to end both teams' 100 per cent start to the campaign.

As the full-time whistle blew, Conte and Tuchel shook hands and neither man wanted to let go first.

They came face-to-face once again and referee Anthony Taylor had no choice but to send the duo off.
