Gym Responds To Claim Member Was Threatened With Ban For Shouting Cristiano Ronaldo's 'SIUUU' After Every Set

Gym Responds To Claim Member Was Threatened With Ban For Shouting Cristiano Ronaldo's 'SIUUU' After Every Set

The Gym Group Southall responded to a viral Cristiano Ronaldo tweet that was doing the rounds.

A Gym have responded on Instagram after claims they threatened to ban a member for constantly shouting Cristiano Ronaldo's 'SIUUUU' chant after every time he finished a set.

@kiiranjjeeet went viral on Twitter after posting a screenshot of an email whereby 'The Gym Group Southall' had warned him about recent conduct.

The Gym said his behaviour was "once again unacceptable" and the reason stated was "Repeatedly saying SIUUU after each set".

The email also added that "repeated misconduct" would result in the membership being terminated.

Over 35,000 likes were accrued on the tweet but unfortunately it was too good to be true.

On their official Instagram page, the gym poured cold water on the claim. "This is not real!" they wrote, accompanied by a screenshot of the fake email.

"We @thegymgroup_southall would not send a warning for this. For context, it's a Cristiano Ronaldo meme."

We spoke to the man himself who was responsible for duping his own gym, and he's considering actually channelling his inner CR7 next to he pumps some iron.

"It’s honestly become more of a trend hasn’t it now," he told SPORTbible.

"Similar to the ‘floss’ and the ‘woah’ which was going around a few years ago, I think someone else dropping that at the gym would make my day as a football fan. But for people who don’t know it as much or don’t follow football, I’ve been told it’s their new 'ick'.

"A little quieter next time, but yeah the Siuu will still be there and it’ll still come. Only Messi fans will give me the eyes.

"My day consists of about a few hundred Siuus a day. In the shower, whilst driving, at work you name it. Maybe some on a lower volume than others but they’re still there. With what I know, it’s just something so hard to contain for everyone. It’s addictive, fun and instantly puts you in a better mood especially when there’s people around who get annoyed by it."

The Ronaldo 'SIUUU' started at Real Madrid when the five-time Ballon d'Or winner created the new celebration alongside Marcelo.

He does it after pretty much every goal he's scored and has even got United fans joining in with the chant whenever he's found the net at Old Trafford.
