The last thing you should do against a team who have conceded once in the last 16 games is concede yourself inside 90 seconds. But that's exactly what Spurs did tonight against Juventus.
If there's one thing that Juventus are known for it's having a pretty solid defence. When the likes of Giorgio Chiellini and Gianluigi Buffon are protecting your goal it's no real surprise that you don't concede too many goals.
The Old Lady have been on a bit of a charge in Serie A and sit just one point behind league leaders Napoli. Tonight they faced Spurs in the Champions League, a competition they've twice finished runners up in in the last three seasons.
So if you were Spurs you'd probably want to avoid giving away a free kick in a dangerous area and a penalty in the opening 10 minutes.
In fact it took Juve and Gonzalo Higuain less than 90 seconds to open the scoring with a lovely free kick routine and splending finish:
A dream start for Juventus, a nightmare start for Spurs...- Football on BT Sport (@btsportfootball) February 13, 2018
Gonzalo Higuain caught that perfectly :dart: pic.twitter.com/23dpn5nShH
Remember by definition any game Higuain scores in cant be big. Sorry, I don't make the rules.- Mike L. Goodman (@TheM_L_G) February 13, 2018

Arsenal deliberately didn't sign Higuain so he'd be able to score against Spurs tonight. Mister Wenger has done it again.- JB:tm: (@gunnerpunner) February 13, 2018
Still trying to work out where the ball would go if I tried that Higuain finish on a Sunday morning.- Adam Hurrey (@FootballCliches) February 13, 2018
lol bantered off by higuain- kevin (@KevBeirne) February 13, 2018
I have so many questions regarding how Spurs let Higuaín go a) entirely unmarked and b) in acres of space to score that goal.- Priya Ramesh (@Priya8Ramesh) February 13, 2018
What a goal from Higuain! That finish is so underrated. Terrible defending from Spurs.- Öliver. (@UtdOliver) February 13, 2018
You let Higuain score in the first play, Spurs. That deserved public shaming.- Diana Kristinne (@DianaKristinne) February 13, 2018
Sure, that's an absolutely stunning goal from Higuain but the defending was pathetic there.- Alex Shaw (@AlexShawESPN) February 13, 2018
That finish, first time, on the turn.....so clean. THAT is Higuain at his best- Juvefc.com (@juvefcdotcom) February 13, 2018
Spurs would grab one back through Harry Kane but surely giving away two goals so early still isn't a good idea. Is the tie over already?
