Eric Lichaj Just Scored The Most Beautiful Goal Of The Weekend

Oh the magic of the FA Cup, it makes the most average of footballers into Lionel Messi and makes the best crumble into weeping messes. Eric Lichaj just became Lichajnel Messi as he put Nottingham Forest 2-1 up against Arsenal.

The third round of the FA Cup is the best weekend of the footballing calendar as it gives us non stop football from Friday night to Monday night with the highest possibility of upsets.

Of course Liverpool beat Everton on Friday night but since then the favourites on the tv games haven't done too well with Leicester City, Chelsea, Leeds United and West Ham all failing to win their matches.

Arsenal went into their game against Nottingham Forest knowing they wouldn't want to add to the list but found themselves 1-0 down through Eric Lichaj, not long after Per Mertesacker equalised with a lovely close range finish and we thought that would be it for the first half.

Then Lichaj scored what must be the best goal of his career, taking the ball on his chest and them chip-vollying the ball home, magnifique!

What a lovely little goal!
