Germany's 2022 World Cup campaign has been recorded for an Amazon 'All or Nothing' series

Germany's 2022 World Cup campaign has been recorded for an Amazon 'All or Nothing' series

It was reported in September that they will become the latest side to feature in the Amazon docu-series.

Germany fans might want to look away now because their national team's progress at this winter's World Cup has been recorded for a six-part Amazon 'All or Nothing' docu-series.

It was confirmed back in September that cameras would follow Germany’s preparations in the build-up to the tournament in Qatar, as well as their progress at the tournament itself.

Footage of their round of 16 defeat to England at Euro 2016 will also feature as they attempt to portrait their rise to prominence following a poor 2018 World Cup, according to reports.

But like they did four years ago, Germany fell at the first hurdle, meaning content may be few and far between when – and if – the six-part series drops.

Japan and Spain qualified from Group E on Thursday night, while the struggling Germany, who managed to pick up a 4-2 win against Costa Rica in their final game, finished in third.

Ahead of this winter's tournament, Hansi Flick opened up about their relationship with Amazon.

“The Amazon team supports us intensively and offers many exclusive insights into our processes,” he explained.

“The documentary follows our goal of getting back to the top of the world and shows how hard we work to achieve it. Our biggest challenge is still to come with the World Cup.

"It will be challenging, emotional and hopefully successful in the end. We go ALL IN and want to go with it make the documentary possible for the fans.”

Marc Lepetit, who is the Managing Director and Producer at UFA Documentary, said the series will "draw a picture that you may not have seen before".

He said: "As Nico Hofmann with Oliver Bierhoff came to us with the project, one thing was clear: the German national team is one of the biggest teams in soccer, and 'All or Nothing' is the sports documentary brand in the world.

"It is an honor to bring together the fascination of the game and the team behind the DFB team, the challenges of the biggest tournament in the world of football and the narrative form of the format.

"Together with our creative team, our partner Stereo Films and Amazon Studios, we capture the stories and appreciate the openness and trust of the team.

"We will take the viewers on the journey through the tournament, the ups and downs, and draw a picture that you may not have seen before. We look forward to the coming months."
