Fan appears to give Barcelona sensation Gavi her phone number during contract ceremony

A female fan appeared to give her phone number to Barcelona sensation Gavi at an event for his contract signing.

After a rapid ascension, Barca have tied the 18-year-old starlet down to a new contract until 2026.

His deal includes a €1 billion release clause - the highest in football history and the same inserted for fellow Blaugrana talents Pedri and Ansu Fati.

The club announced the news on their official channels and then revealed a special event would be held at the Nou Camp to mark the renewal.

Fans were able to meet Gavi at the stadium and one supporter decided to shoot her shot in a big way.

The midfield maestro signed a flag for her but then, in a clip which has gone viral, she handed him a piece of paper.

Poor Gavi was a little confused and surprised in equal measure but did pose for a picture with the young girl.

The video widely circulated and plenty of people on Twitter who were in attendance said it was indeed her digits on the paper.

Twitter user @Cherry_EX0 wrote: "That girl gave Gavi a paper with her number on it."

@FootTransfersEU said: "This #Barca fan gets Gavi’s autograph, and Gavi gets her phone number! Seems like a fair trade to me."

While @officialtruekaa added: "Why she's give gavi her phone number ?"

Gavi has not been romantically linked to anyone previously and it remains to be seen if he will drop a text to the fan.

Gavi, the latest gem to emerge from the La Masia academy, broke through at Barca last season and is now a key player for Xavi Hernandez.

He produced a scintillating display in the 2-0 loss to Bayern Munich on Tuesday, giving serious Andres Iniesta vibes with the way he played.

There's talk that he could be about to take on the No.6 shirt currently free at Barca.
