Gabriel Jesus chips MLS All Stars keeper, the American commentator called it ‘absolutely disgusting’

And to be fair to the commentator, it's a pretty good assessment.

If this preseason tour is anything to go by, Gabriel Jesus means business.

The Arsenal striker opened the scoring against the MLS All Stars by chipping the goalkeeper from outside the box.

The outrageous finish sent the American commentators on Apple+ into a frenzy with one of them calling it "absolutely disgusting".

And to be fair, it's a pretty good assessment.

Less than five minutes into their friendly at Washington's Audi Field, the Gunners drew first blood.

Catching the MLS All Stars on the break, Jorginho threaded a pass through to Arsenal fan favourite Bukayo Saka.

Drifting in from the right wing, Saka cut inside and beat a man before laying the ball off to Jesus who was lingering just outside the box.

With the deftest of touches, the Brazilian dinked the ball over the head of All Stars goalkeeper Roman Burki.

The effort nestled into the top-left-hand-corner of the net, sparking cheers from around the stadium.

Meanwhile, Jesus wheeled off in celebration, breaking out into a salsa dance by the corner flag.

Even those in the commentary box couldn't contain themselves.

"It's an All Star game, put on a show! Gabriel Jesus did exactly that," one of the broadcasters said.

The other commentator then chimed in, saying: "I mean it's just absolutely disgusting the finish!

"This is the identity of that Arsenal team because they have that composure, that flair and that quality in the final third."

When the MLS's official Twitter account posted a clip of the goal on social media, fans wasted no time in flocking to the comments section to have their say.

One person said: "Preseason Jesus is dangerous."

While another added: "The caption under sells this."

Meanwhile, responding to Bleacher Report's post, one fan joked: "Why does the commentary sound like Monday Night Raw?"

And on the 22nd minute mark, Leandro Trossard extended Arsenal's lead with another brilliant finish from outside the box.
