No need for big budget videos when you can just have your club captain sing a football chant about the new signing.

Midfielder Sander Berge confirmed his move to Sheffield United on Thursday and the Premier League side had the most brilliant reveal video of the January transfer window.

The Blades confirmed the day before the window closed that they had broken their transfer record with a £22 million move for the 21-year-old Norwegian.

There was no flash graphics to welcome the new man or a light show revealing him the team colours but instead just club captain Billy Sharp wonderfully singing what is likely to be a hit in the stands at Bramall Lane.

Chris Wilder's team had broken their transfer record in the summer when they signed Ollie McBurnie for £20 million from Swansea City and that has been beaten again with their move for Berge from Genk.

Speaking about the transfer the manager said, "When we sat down with Sander it was clear that he was really excited about coming here and that was great to see.

"I think this signing just shows how far we have come in a short space of time, that we are now attracting the likes of Sander to the football club. It's a brilliant signing for us."

Speaking to Sky Sports the Norway international revealed it was the manager, who has taken the Blades from League One to eighth in the Premier League, that was the main reason he moved to Sheffield, saying, "It's fantastic to be here - the club really showed they wanted me.

"Chris Wilder was the main reason I decided to join the club, I've been admiring the team and how they play for a long time now.

"It's a system that will fit me well and it's how [Wilder] handles the squad and the dressing room.

"I'm hoping to get as much playing time as possible and looking forward to contributing to as many wins as possible."

Berge was part of a hilarious transfer rumour earlier in the week when it was reported that he had arrived at Manchester United's training ground complex with pictures emerging of him in a car at the ground.

However it turned out to be just a reserve team goalkeeper in back of the car.
