PSG goalkeeper Keylor Navas had a good night on Wednesday as his new team beat former side Real Madrid in the Champions League and he finished the night with a cheeky wink to the man who took his place in Madrid.

The French champions beat Real 3-0 on the opening matchday of this season's Champions League, with Courtois coming in for criticism for the first goal.

After the game cameras caught Navas, who left Spain this summer, cheekily winking at the man who replaced him as Los Blancos' number one last season.

After the match Navas was asked about his decision to leave Madrid in the summer and his rivalry with Courtois, saying, "I did not leave Real Madrid because of that. I left because my family and I thought this was the best option for us. I was welcomed as if I had been here for a very long time.

"The best I can give is to defend these colours to the death, to work hard and to try to win important games."

Courtois might have done better with PSG's opener as Angel di Maria, another former Real player, scored past him at the near post.

But he wasn't the only former Chelsea player to have a bad night at the Parc des Princes with Eden Hazard coming in for a lot of criticism for his performance in the French capital.

Navas would have taken the most delight out of all the bad performances though, he always felt like an awkward fit at Real with president Florentino Perez constantly looking to replace him with a 'bigger name,' maybe he should have stuck to caring who the best goalkeeper was.
