Is there anything else that can go well for England in Russia? Even fans of the hosts are loving the Three Lions right now, as proved by one fan brilliantly interrupting Dele Alli's interview.

As far back as Russia being announced as hosts of the World Cup there were fears about the host nation, the fans, and anything to do with the country making the tournament a bit problematic.

At the Euros two years ago the worries intensified as England and Russia fans clashed in Marseille around the two sides playing in the Group Stages, including ugly scenes in the stadium.

There was also concerns over racism and homophobia with Danny Rose telling his family to stay at home because of the former.

And yet none of that has been an issue during the tournament, which is of great relief to everyone involved, even if it is just the country putting on a smiley face for the watching world.

Now the fans are even embracing England players. Dele Alli was being interviewed by Sky Sports News when he was interrupted by a Russian playing 'God Save the Queen' out of his car and shaking the players hand:

Alli has had a very up and down tournament so far. He picked up an injury in the first game against Tunisia and it kept him out of the matches against Panama and Belgium, in the game where most of the first team were rested.

He returned to the starting line up against Sweden and at one point it looked like he was still suffering but he popped up with England's second after a brilliant run and a fantastic cross from Jesse Lingard.

The goal against Sweden was only the Spurs midfielder's third goal in an England shirt in his 28 caps to date. He scored in a friendly against France and a World Cup qualifier against Malta.

All three games have finished 2-0 to England so Gareth Southgate and a whole nation will be hoping he keeps up that record in the final two games.
