Fans Think Naby Sarr Is A Genius For First Minute Sending Off

The Charlton player didn't even wait till the second minute of their League One game against AFC Wimbledon on Saturday afternoon.

It's very nearly the most wonderful time of the year and that means even more football than we usually get. That's exactly why people think Naby Sarr is a genius for getting sent off today.

The weather has taken a turn for the worse today. The summer's heat wave might have been long over but the last day or so have really felt colder than our recent temperatures in England.

It's certainly a day to be wrapped up warm if you're at the football and the kind of day you only want to be on the bench if you can wear several layers of club merchandise to keep you toasty.

Charlton Athletic's Naby Sarr clearly didn't fancy playing in the horrible conditions as he got sent off after just a minute of the League One game against AFC Wimbledon.

No doubt manager Lee Bowyer and Charlton fans will be annoyed at Sarr but everyone else thinks he's a genius for picking up a red, he gets to go into the warmth and a three match suspension will mean him missing the Boxing Day fixture:

It is the time of year that you start seeing players picking up a couple of bookings in order to get their suspension for five yellow cards but Sarr has made sure he's got an extended period off.

Wimbledon's Matthew Pinnock evened things up by picking up two yellow cards in the first half to make it 10 vs 10 but he'll only miss Wimbledon's game on the 22nd against Wycombe.

Sarr will have plenty of time to get the presents in and eat his weight in Turkey, smart!
