Tottenham fans immediately erupted into an Arsenal chant after Manchester City scored against them.

Erling Haaland put City ahead on 51 minutes, tapping home from a low cross.

The first half had been a tense one for City supporters, who know that they need a win to keep the pressure on Arsenal and put themselves on top of the table heading into the final day.

That pressure was relieved by Haaland's goal against a side who are fighting for the top four places themselves - but need a win against Pep Guardiola's side.

Spurs fans, though, have been in two minds over what result they would prefer tonight, given that a victory would help to secure a Premier League title for nearest rivals Arsenal after a 20-year wait.

But a victory for Ange Postecoglou's side is the only way of keeping their hopes of Champions League football next season alive, with Villa currently six points ahead of them having played a game more.

However, some fans behind the goal started chanting: "Are you watching, Arsenal?"

City then had to deal with an injury to Ederson, who was forced off the pitch following a major collision with onrushing Spurs defender Cristian Romero.

The Brazilian's injury looked serious after he stayed down for several minutes, with medical staff and a stretcher called on to the pitch.

Although he was fortunately able to get back to his feet and initially play on, the decision was taken to withdraw him from the action several minutes later.
