Tottenham star James Maddison gets pied when trying to call 'the most famous person' in his phone contacts

Tottenham star James Maddison gets pied when trying to call 'the most famous person' in his phone contacts

James Maddison was asked on on arrival to reveal his most famous contact, but the big name failed to answer the Spurs midfielder's call.

Tottenham midfielder James Maddison was left hanging when he tried to call the 'most famous person in his contacts' for Spurs' social media.

Maddison has a huge miss for Spurs since he suffered an ankle injury during their 4-1 home loss to Chelsea on the 6th of November.

Ange Postecoglou won't have to wait long for his midfield maestro to return, with Maddison expected to be in contention as Tottenham welcome Manchester City next Friday in the FA Cup.

So far this season Maddison has made five assists and scored three times in just 11 Premier League appearances, with Ange's men sitting second in the league the last time the playmaker featured.

The 27-year-old was featured in Spurs' latest edition of their arriving to training videos, where players are confronted with a personal question on arrival to training.

Tottenham goalkeeper Vicario previously sent fans into a frenzy when he revealed his lockscreen to fans, but this time it was Maddison's turn to be put under the microscope.

Maddison was asked who was the most famous person in his contacts.

After a brief pause for thought, he answered: "Probably Robbie Williams."

The England international was then pressured to try and Facetime his celebrity friend.

"Facetime? I think he's in Australia, I guess we could try Robbie", He continued.

"I'm not sure he's in the country though, he's going to be thinking why is he pestering me at 9 AM?

"If he doesn't pick up at least I tried for you."

Maddison hasn't played since November

Unfortunately for Madders the former Take That member was clearly busy, leaving Spurs' number 10 hanging in front of the Spurs cameras.

"He might still be asleep," Joked Maddison.

Maddison isn't the only player in the Spurs dressing room to have famous connections, as unsurprisingly Richarlison has Neymar's number and new signing Timo Werner flexing Sebastian Vettel.

Whilst summer signing Brennan Johnson gave the rather easy answer of Son Heung-min.
