Tottenham fans are not happy with how Eric Dier has been treated in a new video published by the club.

Players are returning to their clubs for training upon the end of a second international break in successive months.

Indeed, Tottenham, who are currently at the Premier League summit after an unbeaten start to life under Ange Postecoglou, returned to training ahead of their Monday Night Football encounter against Fulham.

And the club’s social media channels treated the fans to exclusive footage of the players returning to training ahead of the London derby.

However, some fans were upset by Dier’s arrival, with the player looking somewhat awkward and admitting: “You don’t need to film me it’s okay. I know you aren’t going to use it."

The defender, one of the club’s longest-serving players, has not played a single game for the north Londoners this term and appears surplus to requirements under Postecoglou.

Writing on X, the social media platform formally known as Twitter, one fan wrote: "Feel for Eric here.. great servant and a brilliant professional. Shame it has become like this."

A second wrote: “Eric Dier saying ‘You don't need to film, I know you're not going to use it’ has completely ruined my day.

“A great servant to the club and someone has given so much for the badge completely disrespected. Very sad.”

Another said: "Genuinely feel for Dier here.

“Likely be on his way in ten weeks' time, but to see the guy so dejected after his service to us. Can't help but have some empathy for what he's going through."

A fourth added: "Nah I feel so bad for Dier man ffsss."
