Rivals fans have branded Tottenham a 'tinpot club' after seeing what they did in the dressing room following their Europa League triumph.

Spurs beat Manchester United 1-0 to win the Europa League, ending their trophy drought in the process.

Their Europa League success is the club's first piece of silverware in 17 years but three players missed out on a medal despite playing in the final.

The victory in Bilbao also means Spurs will play in the Champions League next season.

It will be their first Champions League appearance since the 2022/23 campaign.

And judging by the dressing room footage following their Europa League triumph, the Spurs squad are extremely excited about the proposition of Champions League football.

The club shared a video of several of their players lining up to the famous Champions League anthem.

The clip shows Yves Bissouma, James Maddison, Archie Gray, Radu Dragusin, Brennan Johnson and Lucas Bergvall mimicking the pre-match Champions League tradition, accompanied with the caption: "Are you ready for us, @ChampionsLeague?"

But rival fans online mocked Spurs' social media post, calling it 'f**king pathetic'.

One X user wrote: "F**king pathetic," while another said: "Tinpot club."

A third added: "What the hell is wrong with them."

Whether Ange Postecoglou leads Spurs out in the Champions League remains to be seen amid intense speculation about his position at the club.

He has been subjected to fierce criticism due to Spurs' domestic form.

It has been claimed he could be relieved of his duties this summer after a disappointing Premier League campaign.

But the Australian gaffer wants to build on his European success.

"I've had such a laser focus on winning this. Whatever happens, happens," he told TNT Sports.

"We're still building this team. It's a young team, we need to add experience. My thought process has been about building a team that can be successful for five or six years."

The 59-year-old added: "But I'm the manager - that decision is not in my hands. It doesn't affect me. You would have seen that in the build-up. All I care about is [the medal] as this means this football club has won a trophy.

"I don't feel like I've completed the job. We're building. The moment I accepted the role I had one thing in my head - win something. We've done that now and I want to build on it."
