Ange Postecoglou snaps at reporter for 'questioning his integrity' after Spurs win, he was fuming

Ange Postecoglou fumed at a journalist's question following Tottenham's win over Burnley.

Ange Postecoglou furiously snapped at a reporter for 'questioning his integrity' after Tottenham's FA Cup win over Burnley.

Spurs booked their spot in the next round of the competition after beating Burnley 1-0 as Pedro Porro scored a stunning goal.

But Postecoglou wasn't asked about his side's victory during his post-match press conference as he was quizzed over Eric Dier, who is reportedly on the verge of signing for Bayern Munich.

Dier, who has played just four games for Spurs this season, was unavailable for Friday's clash after pulling up in training.

That's according to the Australian boss who refused to be drawn to transfer speculation linking him with a move away from the club.

When pressed on Dier's situation, the 58-year-old snapped at a reporter as he gave a fiery answer. Check it out below:

He said via Football London: "Separate issue mate but don't question my integrity. When I say he's injured, he's injured. He didn't train yesterday.

"I can get Vision [Spurs' training system footage] for you or you can ask him. It's got nothing to do with anything else."

Postecoglou added: "I've got no idea. When you ask me whether he's injured, he's injured. I didn't make that up. If he wasn't injured I'd say he wasn't selected. It's easy for me to say. He's injured and in terms of anything else that's happening, not on my radar.

"Not that I've heard of. If there is something I'm sure I'll hear of it, but fair to say in the last 24 hours we've been focusing on the game and the guys that are available."

The questioning over Dier's absence didn't go down well with Postecoglou, who made his feelings clear after guiding his team to the FA Cup fourth round.

Spurs return to action on January 14 whey they travel to Old Trafford for a crunch league game against Manchester United.
