The 20 footballers who have seen their transfer values increase the most in 2024 have been revealed.

The calendar year has been a busy one, with Euro 2024 and the Copa America both being played. They were won by Spain and Argentina respectively.

At domestic level, Manchester City once again convincingly won the Premier League title, though have won just one of their last 13 matches of this season.

Real Madrid scooped La Liga and their 15th Champions League crown, while Bayer Leverkusen had an unprecedented Invincible season on their way to winning the Bundesliga for the first time in their history.

But which players had the most impressive seasons as far as transfer values are concerned?

Barcelona's Lamine Yamal, perhaps unsurprisingly, leads the way, with the 17-year-old having had an incredible 12 months.

He broke into the Barca first team setup last season and has quickly become one of their key players, with five goals and nine assists in La Liga this campaign off the back of winning Euro 2024 with Spain.

Yamal's market value, as per Transfermarkt, is now at €180 million, up from €60 million.

In second place is Chelsea's Cole Palmer, who has scored 34 goals and provided 17 assists in the Premier League since the beginning of last season. He also scored for England in the final of Euro 2024.

Palmer is now worth €130 million, up from €45 million.

Barcelona centre-back Pau Cubarsi has the highest percentage increase in terms of market value, with his value rising by 4566.7 per cent from just €1.5 million to €70 million. Like Yamal, the Spaniard is also 17 and came through the Barca academy.

Real Madrid's Vinicius Junior, meanwhile, is in fourth with a transfer value of €200 million - the highest in the list. The Brazilian finished second in the Ballon d'Or rankings and won the Champions League, with his value increasing by €50 million from January 1 onwards.

Rounding out the top five is Manchester United midfielder Kobbie Mainoo, who quickly rose through the United ranks to become a key player under Erik ten Hag at the end of last season.

This season has been tougher for the 19-year-old amid injury issues and a change of manager to Ruben Amorim, but his value has still risen by 816.7 per cent from €6 million to €55 million.
