The team Shakira has started supporting after splitting with Gerard Pique following cheating allegations

Shakira took to social media to show her support.

Shakira has shown her support to a Premier League club following her split with Barcelona legend Gerard Pique.

The Colombian-born singer separated from Pique after 11 years together.

The ex-Manchester United defender met Shakira on the set of her official World Cup song 'Waka Waka'.

It's claimed that Pique had been unfaithful to the 46-year-old, which resulted in their breakup.

She's moved on and seemingly now supports Arsenal as she endorsed the Kai Havertz chant.

Arsenal fans debuted a new chant for the German after he scored his first goal for the club since his £65 million switch from Chelsea during the summer.

To the tune of Shakira's iconic 'Waka Waka' track, fans could be heard chanting: "Waka waka, eh, eh, £60 million down the drain, Kai Havertz scores again."

She's clearly a big fan as she shared a reel of Arsenal supporters singing the Havertz chant at the Vitality Stadium on Instagram, accompanied with the caption: "Go Arsenal."

Havertz came off the bench against Manchester City last weekend and played a part in his side's goal.

He brought down Takehiro Tomiyasu's header before setting up Gabriel Martinelli, who struck home after his strike deflected off Nathan Ake.

Arsenal legend Ian Wright hailed the 24-year-old's role in the goal and claimed he should start ahead of Eddie Nketiah.

"If he [Havertz] doesn’t go in there to lay it back down, we may not get that [goal]," he said on his podcast.

“Because some of the times, Eddie like I said, he did a lot of work today, made so many runs. But there’s times when you look in the build up when he’s either too far on the left if it’s on the right, or too far on the right if it’s on the left.

“And you just need that body, that focal point in the middle, that Thomas Partey can chip it in to, who can make sure that he chests it down to hold it and lay it back off. And I think that Kai Havertz coming on and doing that was absolutely brilliant for us today.”
