Former Premier League goalkeeper Shaka Hislop is ‘conscious and talking’ after he fainted live on air before Real Madrid’s friendly against AC Milan on Sunday.
Hislop made 121 appearances for West Ham United in two separate spells from 1998 to 2002 and 2005 to 2006.
On the international stage, Hislop was capped 26 times by Trinidad and Tobago.

Apart from the Hammers, Hislop also played for the likes of Newcastle, Portsmouth, Reading and FC Dallas.
The 54-year-old was working as a pundit for US broadcaster ESPN at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California.
Whilst doing a pitchside interview with presenter Dan Thomas, Hislop stumbled and fell to the ground face first.

Thomas instantly called for assistance as the programme cut to an ad break.
After the scary moment, Thomas has given an update on the former West Ham goalkeeper.

On Twitter, he wrote: “Shaka is conscious. The medics are looking after him.”
Speaking during the half-time interval, he said: “My mate, Shaka, not here, but as it stands, it's good news.
“He's conscious. He's talking. I think he's a little embarrassed about it all. He's apologised profusely. Not a man who likes people to make a fuss of him.”
Thomas continued: “Obviously far too early to make any sort of diagnosis, but the important thing is that Shaka's conscious and we spoke to his family as well, because you imagine seeing that happen live.”
During the match, Milan went 2-0 up thanks to goals from Fikayo Tomori and Luka Romero.

However, the Serie A giants were unable to hold on to their lead as a brace from Federico Valverde and a goal from Vinicius Jr sealed a 3-2 win for Carlo Ancelotti’s men.
England midfielder Jude Bellingham also made his much-anticipated debut after joining Madrid for £113 million last month.
