Ronaldo Nazario has made a damning admission about football, as Brazil disappointed with a 0-0 draw against Costa Rica to open their Copa America campaign.

Brazil got their tournament underway on Tuesday but failed to get off to the same positive start as fellow favourites Argentina, who beat Canada 2-0 on the opening day.

Dorival Junior's side had a staggering 19 shots throughout the game, but could only manage a measly four on target as they never got into any kind of flow or rhythm.

They currently sit second in their group, with Colombia at the summit following their 2-1 win over Paraguay thanks to a throwback performance from former Real Madrid man, James Rodriguez.

Brazil will next be in action on Saturday against Paraguay, as they look to make a statement of intent for the rest of the tournament, but one Brazil legend has already seen enough.

Former striker Ronaldo Nazario spoke ahead of the tournament, and claimed he is unlikely to be supporting the squad at the Copa America because he finds it 'too boring.'

The two-time Ballon d'Or winner even stated football has been overtaken in his life and is no longer his favourite sport.

"I think I love more tennis now than football. I cannot watch football matches. I think it's too boring," 'R9' said at the Mouratoglou Annual Charity Gala.

"I can stay for 5 hours watching tennis."

Luckily for the Brazilian legend, he doesn't have to wait too long for some on-court action with Wimbledon set to get underway on July 1st.
