Roberto De Zerbi is on Real Madrid's four-man shortlist to replace Carlo Ancelotti, according to stunning reports.

Ancelotti is set to leave the La Liga giants at the end of the season after returning to the club in the summer of 2021.

Real are on the hunt for a new manager ahead of the 2024/25 campaign, with a host of names linked with the managerial post.

The 44-year-old joined the Amex Stadium outfit from Shakhtar Donetsk in September 2022.

He guided the Seagulls to a sixth-placed finish in the Premier League last season.

Xabi Alonso, who spent five seasons at the Bernabeu, is also among the candidates to replace the veteran Italian.

The former Liverpool midfielder has made a big impression in Germany's Bundesliga, having done wonders at Bayer Leverkusen. He also began his managerial career at Real, before taking charge of Real Sociedad B.

Club legend Raul and former defender Alvaro Arbeloa, who are both currently working in the club's youth set-up, complete the four-man shortlist.

Who will Real appoint next summer? Let us know what you think.
