Lucas Vasquez instantly took to social media after being left out of Spain's provisional Euro 2024 squad.

Luis de la Fuente named a 29-man provisional squad for this summer's competition in Germany.

He failed to include a Premier League star, not to mention Real Madrid man Vasquez, who can operate at the back or on the wing.

And the 32-year-old appeared to react to being excluded from the initial squad on social media.

On X, he posted two laughing face emojis in what seems to be his thoughts on not making De la Fuente's squad.

This season, Vasquez made 37 appearances across all competitions and had 11 goal involvements (three goals and eight assists).

He helped his side win the La Liga and could inspire them to Champions League glory this weekend.

The versatile player has eight international caps to his name and was included in his national team's World Cup squad in 2018.

His Real teammates Nacho and Joselu, however, have been included in Spain's provisional squad before it gets cut down to 26 players.

Spain’s provisional Euro 2024 squad in full:

Goalkeepers: Unai Simon, Alex Remiro, David Raya.

Defenders: Jesus Navas, Dani Carvajal, Robin Le Normand, Aymeric Laporte, Nacho Fernandez, Dani Vivian, Pau Cubarsi, Alejandro Grimaldo, Marc Cucurella.

Midfielders: Martin Zubimendi, Rodri Hernandez, Mikel Merino, Fabian Ruiz, Pedri, Marcos Llorente, Fermin Lopez, Aleix Garcia, Alex Baena.

Forwards: Lamine Yamal, Ferran Torres, Dani Olmo, Nico Williams, Ayoze Perez, Alvaro Morata, Joselu Mato, Mikel Oyarzabal.

Spain are grouped with Croatia, Italy and Albania in Group B.
