Real Madrid are imminently set to pay Chelsea millions in add-ons as part of the Eden Hazard deal, it has been claimed.

Los Blancos claimed a record-extending 15th Champions League crown on Saturday, beating Borussia Dortmund 2-0 at Wembley with goals coming courtesy of Dani Carvajal and Vinicius Jr.

And Real’s appearance in the final has seen Chelsea land a bonus in the region of £5million, as part of Hazard’s transfer to the club back in 2019, according to ESPN.

That’s despite the Belgian having reached an agreement to terminate his contract last summer, before announcing his retirement from football in October at the age of 32.

Hazard’s move from Chelsea to Madrid in 2019 contained several performance-related add-ons, one of which was triggered by Carlo Ancelotti's men reaching the Champions League final against Dortmund.

Though Hazard is retired the club-to-club element of his contract reportedly remains active and therefore Madrid owe a further payment to Chelsea.

After an incredible spell at Chelsea, Hazard scored just seven goals in 76 appearances across all competitions during four seasons in Spain.

Real won’t be concerned by the outlay, having now not lost a major European final since 1983.

Upon winning his first-ever Champions League, Jude Bellingham told TNT Sports: "I've always dreamt of playing in these games.

“You go through life with people telling you that you can't do things. Days like this remind you. It gets hard sometimes and you wonder whether it's worth it but nights like this make you realise.

"I was alright until I saw my mum and dad. Nights like where they could have been at home by 7 o'clock but they're out until 12 on trips to take me to football.

“And my little brother who I'm trying to be a role model for. The best night of my life."
