Real Madrid are reportedly planning for Carlo Ancelotti's return to the club despite his impending departure.
Earlier in the week, it was confirmed that Ancelotti will leave Madrid at the end of the season to take over as the new manager of the Brazilian national team.
The 65-year-old will officially begin as Brazil boss on May 26, following the end of the current La Liga season.

It has been a bitterly disappointing season for Los Blancos as they are set to lose the La Liga title to fierce rivals Barcelona.
In the Champions League, they were knocked out at the quarter-final stage after losing to Premier League side Arsenal.
Despite the recent struggles, Ancelotti is one of the most successful managers of his generation and will look to reignite Brazil on the international stage.
A statement from the Brazilian FA read: "This landmark moment sees the coming together of two icons — the only five-time Fifa World Cup champions, and a coach with an unmatched record across Europe's elite competitions.

"The CBF warmly welcomes Mr Ancelotti and looks forward to a new era of success under his leadership."

The CBF also thanked Madrid president Florentino Perez for "facilitating the coach's release during his contract term"
However, it has now been claimed that Madrid and Ancelotti want to reunite after the 2026 World Cup.

As reported by Spanish news outlet MARCA, this is more of a see you later rather than a final farewell between Madrid and Ancelotti.
It has been suggested that once Ancelotti's time in charge of Brazil is over, he will return to Madrid in 'a function to be determined'.
The report stated: "Best of all, the two parties have not closed the door. The promise of a return of the Italian at the end of his commitment to Brazil is standing. Real Madrid wants to have Ancelotti close and that possibility is alive.
"The 25th will be a tribute and a see you later, not a final farewell. The team and the coach need a break. They have talked about that once the Brazilian adventure is over, he will return to the club in a function to be determined."
