A Premier League table without VAR has been published and Liverpool are among several teams that have received a boost.

VAR criticism reached fever pitch this season after human error led to Luis Diaz’s goal being wrongly ruled out in Liverpool’s 2-1 defeat to Tottenham.

Referee’s chief Howard Webb subsequently admitted on Match Officials: Mic'd Up that VAR had "fallen short" on this occasion and the PGMOL needed to act.

Webb added: "We've put quite a lot of steps in place to ensure the error that we saw doesn't happen again.”
