Premier League club owner reveals chances of 11 transfers happening in extraordinary social media post

Hull City are preparing for life back in the Premier League, and owner Acun Ilicali has gone to peculiar lengths to fuel excitement ahead of their return by teasing a list of potential signings.

Hull earned their fourth promotion to England's top flight at the end of May when Oli McBurnie's 94th-minute winner fired them past Middlesbrough in the Championship play-off final.

The Tigers have since been working hard in the transfer market to build a squad capable of competing in the Premier League, announcing the additions of Jack Butland, Oscar Zambrano and Matt Targett.

Japanese international Hidemasa Morita is also expected to arrive at their training camp in Slovenia in the next 48 hours, and he is one of several names who could follow through the doors at the MKM Stadium.

Owner Acun Ilicali is very honest about the club's transfer business, and on Thursday morning - shortly after confirming the signing of Targett - the Turk teased further additions while also rubbishing a host of false rumours.

Ilicali attached the national flag of each player, along with the percentage of the likelihood they sign, in an attempt to fuel more excitement for the coming weeks.

"Dear Hull City family, we are reading dozens of false transfer rumors in many places," Ilicali wrote on X.

"We are disturbed by the claims that we have been rejected and by the use of our club's name to gain attention. We have been working intensively for two months. I believe we will build a team that we will all be proud of. To prevent false speculation and to give you more information, I am leaving you with our latest transfer situation, which includes some clues."

Acun Ilicali teases 11 players Hull could sign

The 57-year-old listed 11 players the club are working on adding to Sergej Jakirovic's squad and included a national flag for each, insinuating how close Hull are to getting each deal done.

Morita has already completed his medical ahead of joining on a free transfer from Sporting Lisbon and is expected to sign a two-year contract in East Yorkshire.

Ilicali put the probability of him signing at 99 per cent, suggesting a deal is almost done, while there is a 90 per cent chance that Hull land Konstantinos Tzolakis and Elliot Stroud.

Olympiacos goalkeeper Tzolakis is expected to join imminently, although a transfer is taking longer than expected, while Hull have a broad agreement with Mjallby to sign wing-back Stroud.

The Tigers are also pushing to acquire winger Marco Pasalic from Orlando City, with Ilicali giving that transfer an 80 per cent chance of happening.

Leon Bailey, who Hull are interested in signing from Aston Villa, apparently has a 70 per chance of joining.
