Wrexham star Paul Mullin ruthlessly trolled Ryan Reynolds during a cameo appearance on a live radio show.

Reynolds joined his co-star Hugh Jackman on BBC Radio 1 to promote Deadpool & Wolverine, which is set to be released in the UK next week.

And during their appearance on BBC Radio 1, Reynolds was hilariously mocked by Mullin, who made a surprise outing on the show.

The forward, who scored 24 league goals last season, was asked for an 'unpopular opinion' to which he said co-owner Rob McElhenney is Wrexham's best owner.

To his credit, Reynolds hilariously fired back, saying: "Oh, I know that voice, Mullin."

He added: "Why aren't you doing calisthenics right now, buddy? Maybe stretch that recently fixed back out a little bit. I don't know. Maybe make good on an investment in a promise that we made."

Jackman declared himself a 'big fan' of Mullin. He weighed in: "I'd love to get your autograph one day."

Reynolds replied: "His favourite celebrity, actually, that came by is Will Ferrell, so yeah."

After the light-hearted dig, Mullin was asked for his 'truthful' opinion of Reynolds as he hailed the Hollywood star's impact at Wrexham.

"Both wonderful as owners. More than that, just as people," he explained. "Get to see them as people more than owners now. As we've seen in the documentary [Welcome to Wrexham], what they've done for the community has been phenomenal.

"Our success is obviously down to them. Their success with the club is also down to us, which is brilliant and long may it continue."

The Welsh outfit have secured back-to-back promotions under the ownership of Reynolds and McElhenney, with Mullin excelling in recent seasons.

He scored an impressive 38 league goals in their National League-winning campaign before bagging 26 goals across all competitions last season.

Reynolds and Mullin will be gunning for a third promotion in a row ahead of their campaign in League One.
