Chris Hughes' response to Bradley Dack signing for Sunderland goes viral, wife Olivia Attwood has responded

Chris Hughes' response to Bradley Dack signing for Sunderland goes viral, wife Olivia Attwood has responded

Chris Hughes' tweet about Bradley Dack went viral and now his ex Olivia Attwood Dack has responded.

Olivia Attwood Dack has responded after ex Chris Hughes' reaction to husband Bradley Dack signing for Sunderland went viral.

Chris and Olivia met on the third series of Love Island and finished in third place on the ITV2 reality show, before splitting in 2018

The former Only Way Is Essex cast member then started dating former Gillingham and Blackburn Rovers midfielder Dack having already known each other since 2015.

They got engaged in 2019 and said their vows at a lavish six-figure ceremony last month, with the wedding being shown in ITV series Olivia Marries Her Match.

But in a quite awkward turn of events, Dack has recently changed clubs after his contract with Blackburn expired.

He has linked up with former boss Tony Mowbray for a second time, penning a one-year contract at the Stadium of Light and helping with their promotion push after play-off disappointment last term.

Hughes, who does racing presenting for ITV and coverage of 'The Hundred' cricket for the BBC, is a massive Sunderland fan and went to his first Black Cats game as a six-year old back in 1999.

He will now be cheering on his ex's husband and last week, in response to the signing announcement, posted a hilarious GIF from Love Island where he was covering his ears lay next to Olivia.

The tweet racked up 23,000 likes and Olivia had a pleasant reply to the post from his former beau.

She told Metro: "I was confused at first because I completely forgot he supports them. I thought, ‘Why is he getting involved?’

“Then I got it and thought he’s just having a bit of fun with it.

“There’s nothing that deep going on there. I don’t feel any type of way about him sharing it. He has got to watch my husband play football every week.”

Sunderland kick off their Championship campaign against Ipswich Town on Sunday 6 August, before hosting Crewe Alexandra in the Carabao Cup three days later.
