Newcastle United fans didn't hold back as they interrupted Anthony Gordon's post-match interview with a chant hitting out at Alexander Isak.
On Saturday morning, Newcastle United kicked off their 2025/26 Premier League season with an away trip to face Aston Villa.
With star striker Isak currently on strike ahead of his rumoured move to Liverpool, winger Gordon started in the centre of Newcastle's attack for the match.
Unfortunately for fans of the Geordie club, the 24-year-old wasn't quite able to live up to the high standards set by Isak last season, and the match ultimately ended as a 0-0 draw.

But Newcastle fans were sure to make their feelings about Gordon, Isak and the ongoing transfer saga as they interrupted the winger's post-match interview with a brutal chant aimed at Isak.

As it stands, Isak is refusing to train with the Newcastle squad in an attempt to force the club to accept a British record transfer offer from Liverpool, which is expected to arrive before the window closes on September 1.
Understandably, the situation has created tension within St James' Park, but Gordon appeared to play down the situation when asked about it in his post-match interview on TNT Sports.

Speaking about the Isak saga, Gordon said: "It's been difficult because we're such a tight-knit group. We've never really had any problems publicly and that's been the first thing that's happened - it's tested us.
"You can see today we've still got that spirit and togetherness, we work on it everyday. It's never going to go regardless of individuals. We're a top group, our togetherness is top and it always will be. We're so together anyway,
"I think things like this can battle test you and make you better in the end and I think that will be the case."
But it appears that this feeling isn't shared by the Newcastle fans, as they were heard in the background of Gordon's interview chanting 'There's only one greedy b******', clearly referencing Isak.

In Isak's absence, it is expected that Gordon will continue to start as striker for Newcastle, a challenge that the forward is welcoming, despite admitting that he is intially struggling to adapt.
He added: " I really like it. I feel like as my career progresses, I will end up more central anyway. It's come a bit earlier than I imagined but I'm really enjoying it. It'll take some getting used to."
However, should Isak leave the club in the coming weeks, it has been widely reported that Newcaslte will immediately replace him with another star player to lead the line for the Magpies, with the Brentford's Yoane Wissa their top target,
