Memphis Depay's insane contract perks have been disclosed amid his club's push to remove them from his deal.

The Netherlands international, who has had spells with Manchester United, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid, made a surprise switch in September 2024 when he signed for Brazilian giants Corinthians on a two-year deal.

The well-travelled forward has scored 16 goals in 58 appearances for his current employers but in recent times a serious issue has arisen in regards to Depay's living arrangements.

Depay is believed to earn around £90,000-a-week at Corinthians, with plenty of hefty, performance-related bonuses available.

But on top of that, the 31-year-old was able to negotiate a number of other perks that the club agreed to.

According to UOL Esporte, Corinthians, who have already paid out around £3 million to Depay, fork out £35,000 per month for his presidential suite.

They also cover room service, food and cleaning bills, as well as paying for a private chef and butler, personal security guard, armoured car and personal driver.

Globo Esporte previously reported that while under contract, Depay is also entitled to 24 business class plane tickets between Brazil and Europe and one VIP box at Neo Quimica Arena, Corinthians' home stadium.

Yet the Sao Paolo club are desperately trying to get their No.10 to leave his current penthouse residence for cheaper accommodation but have so far been unsuccessful in their attempts to get Depay to move.

Explaining the situation, UOL journalist Livia Camilla said: "We spoke with sources who have contact with Memphis, who are part of his inner circle or who work with his staff, and they say that he will not leave the hotel under any circumstances.

"So, there is a conflicting information; one person says one thing, another says something else, but in the meeting minutes, Osmar Stabile [Corinthians president] said that he asked Memphis to leave."

While Corinthians are confident he will agree to move, the player's camp believe he is unlikely to volunteer to leave as he enjoys the hotel's amenities.

When he first arrived in Brazil, Depay looked at various properties in the Alphaville area but did not settle on any.

Instead he chose to live in the hotel, which has a more convenient location as it is much closer to the club's training ground.

According to Globo, Depay has a unilateral exit clause in his Corinthians deal, therefore allowing him to leave for a foreign club at any time as long as he pays the £4.4 million penalty personally.
