Richard Keys tweeted that he'd only sign three Manchester United stars, but fans spotted an embarrassing blunder he made in his post.

Man United fans hoped their disappointing season had turned a corner when they beat Liverpool in the FA Cup quarter-finals last month, but Erik ten Hag's side have won just one of their six Premier League games since.

The latest disappointment came on Saturday, when a 1-1 draw with relegation-threatened Burnley at Old Trafford mathematically ending slim hopes of finishing in the top four and securing Champions League football for next season.

Ten Hag's position as manager is looking increasingly precarious, although new minority owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe is yet to make a decision on his future.

While ultimately the buck stops with the coach, United's players have to shoulder some of the blame for such an underwhelming campaign.

United fans have slated their stars all season, but one of the most vocal critics has been beIN Sports presenter Richard Keys.

On Tuesday morning Keys took to X - formerly Twitter - to question which underperforming stars United will actually be able to sell in the summer.

"It’ll be interesting to see what Utd raise from their fire-sale," Keys wrote.

"Who would buy any of them? You’d take McTominay & gamble on a cut-price Rashford. McGuire as well. As for the rest?"

Keys raised a decent point, but fans noticed the glaring mistake in his post.

"Who’s McGuire? A youth player?" one fan asked, while another replied: "Maguire, Richard. It’s Maguire."

A third follower commented: "Who the f*** is McGuire?"

Despite the error, other fans agreed with Keys and shared his worries about United's ability to shift underperforming players in the transfer market.

"Antony and Sancho are on high wages. Forget getting a fee. they may have to pay them off to offload them. Apart from the ones you mentioned only Wan-Bissaka and Dalot can fetch a fee," one fan commented.

Another fan was more pessimistic. "None will go though, they won't get the wages so will see out there contracts."
