Paul Scholes brutally shut down Jamie Carragher's claims about the Manchester United legend's Premier League trophies in a hilarious viral clip.

Ever since the Premier League was established in 1992, fans have debated who the greatest player ever to play in the competition could be.

With teams like Manchester City's centurions, Arsenal's Invincibles and Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool, there are plenty of players that have earned a place in the conversation.

And while discussing the topic with Liverpool legend Carragher, Scholes had to remind his former rival exactly why he deserves to be mentioned as a potential option in a hilarious clip that has gone viral online.

Speaking on the latest episode of The Overlap's Fan Debate, Scholes and Carragher were discussing who the greatest Premier League footballer of all time is.

After enjoying perhaps his best season to date, Mohamed Salah was the first name considered by the pair, before discussing Henry, a man who is widely considered to be the best by many fans.

However, Carragher revealed that there is one thing that may hold the Arsenal legend back, and in doing so he accidentally disrespected his co-host.

Carragher argued: "My point about Thierry was, he only two Premier Leagues, it wasn't like he won six or seven like yourself and we've always put him."

Scholes quickly responds: "Six or seven?"

Leading to Carragher asking how many that the former United star had actually won, before Scholes revealed he had 11 Premier League winner medals.

"F****** hell. Cheeky b******," joked Scholes as the room erupted into laughter.

Carragher replied: "This is going to go viral! Apologies it won't happen again."

Scholes then goes on to agree with Carragher's assessment that it doesn't matter how many Premier League titles a player has won, they can still be seen as the best based on their impact and performances.

Carragher eventually settles on a top three with Henry on top, ahead of Salah and Cristiano Ronaldo, while United fan Adam Mckola suggested Wayne Rooney would get into the top three instead of Salah.
