Manchester United star Noussair Mazraoui has gone viral on social media for his response to a fan who asked for an autograph outside the club's training ground.

In his second season at United after joining from Bayern Munich, Mazraoui has struggled for minutes this season.

After missing a good chunk of games during Morocco's run to the Africa Cup of Nations, the former Ajax man was reduced to a number of substitute cameos in recent times.

He was handed a rare start in the 2-1 win over Crystal Palace on Sunday, playing 66 minutes of the victory which moved to United up to third in the Premier League.

But the 28-year-old hit headlines the day after for a clip which did the rounds online. Mazraoui was filmed leaving the training ground in his car and was asked to sign an autograph for an individual who had a book which contained two No.3's in the official Premier League font.

However, noticing that the fan appeared to be a reseller, Mazraoui did not quite meet his request. Instead he provided a tiny squiggly line with the pen on both numbers before driving off.

The individual, MH memorabilia posted the five-second clip on TikTok and saw the video amass 1.7 million views, as well as 58,000 likes and 356 comments.

The comments were largely negative and saw many users slam the fan for profiting from the footballer's autographs.

It appears as though Mazraoui was aware of the situation, having done his real signature on the numbers in the past.

In response, MH memorabilia claimed that they "sold them for £80" but it is unclear if they were being genuine.

When Ruben Amorim was at the helm at Old Trafford, he implemented a rule whereby players had to sign autographs before and after games.

According to The Athletic, the rule was that half of the squad must sign before a home game - with the remaining signing afterwards.
