Mason Mount is injured and will miss Manchester United’s game against Arsenal, Erik ten Hag has confirmed.

Ten Hag revealed in a press conference ahead of United's game against Arsenal that Scott McTominay, Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford have all returned to training.

However, Mount has suffered another injury, which the Dutchman described as being "very unlucky".

Ten Hag said: “It’s not that I am not happy with Mason. He is also a very robust player, you see in his profile.

"In the last four seasons before this, he only had a small issue in the end of his Chelsea career. He’s had very bad luck and he’s a really good player. We’ve really missed him this season.”

Elsewhere, Ten Hag admitted that Luke Shaw had endured a set-back in his recovery and insisted that Lisandro Martinez would not be rushed back to the fold.

"Luke Shaw had a setback in his process as well but there is still a hope and he will fight to be available for the [FA Cup] final," Ten Hag admitted. "Yesterday, Licha [Lisandro Martinez] came to me and wanted to play on Sunday against Arsenal but he's not ready yet, he needs a little bit more time to go through the process, but he is so desperate."

However, Rashford appears likely to be fit to take on Mikel Arteta's title chasers.

Ten Hag added: “Rashy [Marcus Rashford], of course, he trained this morning as well, and we have to see how he recovered from this.

"But I think it looks quite good and I hope he can tomorrow make the next training and then see if he is available for Sunday."

United will be hoping to recover from Monday's night's 4-0 drubbing against Crystal Palace when they take on Arsenal.

Meanwhile, Arteta's men need to claim three points to maintain the pressure on title rivals Manchester City, who are two points behind Arsenal but have a game in hand.
