Fans think they've figured out what Luke Shaw shouted at Rasmus Hojlund during Man Utd vs West Ham

Fans think they have worked out what Luke Shaw said to Manchester United teammate Rasmus Hojlund in the first half of the clash with West Ham on Sunday.

After hammering Athletic Club 4-1 to reach the Europa League final on Thursday, United were back in Premier League action against the Hammers, who were just behind them in the table going into the game.

Tomas Soucek put the visitors in the lead in the 28th minute and United were especially poor for large spells at Old Trafford.

Hojlund was on target against Athletic but he wasn't quite up to it in his latest outing, with Shaw particularly irritated by the Dane.

The former Atalanta striker's hold-up player has left a lot to be desired ever since signing for United and after he lost the ball, Shaw appeared to show his frustrations and let out a scream.

One fan on X claimed: "Luke Shaw screams at Hojlund after failing to hold the ball 'RASSSS COME ON!!'.

A second had the very same observation and wrote: "Just before the half time whistle Luke Shaw screamed at Rasmus Hojlund after failing to hold the ball: 'RAS COME ON!'

A third added: "LOL Luke Shaw screaming at Hojlund after giving it away AGAIN."

Shaw, who has only recently returned from injury issues, ws taken off just after half-time and replaced by Victor Lindelof. Mere minutes later and West Ham doubled their lead when former United defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka set up Jarrod Bowen to make it 2-0.

With two games remaining in the Premier League, United could well find themselves in a scenario where they finish in 17th and just one place above the relegation zone after their worst ever domestic campaign by some distance.

But crucially, they are just one win away from returning to the Champions League if they beat Spurs in the Europa League final in Bilbao on Wednesday 21 May.

United take on Champions League chasing Chelsea on Friday before they take on Spurs in the all-English final. They then finish the season with a visit of Aston Villa on the final day of the season on 25 May.
