Manchester United fans know exactly what has ruined their game against Viktoria Plzen after watching the first 45 minutes of their Europa League clash.

There have been very few chances as Plzen and Man United head into the break goalless, with the match yet to spark into life.

The Red Devils were guilty of moving the ball slowly across the field in Czechia as fans online all made the same complaint.

People on social media referenced the dryness of the pitch, claiming it needs water on the surface during the interval.

Local conditions aren't great as the sub zero weather has seemingly effected the pitch.

Fans also expressed their concerns over potential injuries, with the busy Christmas schedule around the corner.

One X user wrote: "Honestly his pitch is crying out for some water."

A second tweeted: "Needs a sprinkler ASAP honestly."

A third joked: "I've seen more moisture on the sahara desert"

A fourth argued: "It isn’t an excuse to why we’re playing so bad can’t win a game if you never have a shot."

A fifth commented: "The pitch is so bad & dry man."

Another said: "Hopefully none of our players get injured."

Ruben Amorim's side are looking to return to the win column following back-to-back league defeats to Arsenal and Nottingham Forest.

Amorim had led Man United to two wins from his opening three games in charge, having beaten Bodo/Glimt and Everton.
