Manchester United fans have been left stunned by a club raising their price tag by a whopping €70 million for the Red Devils' latest transfer target because of their interest.

Man United have already made a statement this summer, having snapped up Joshua Zirkzee and Leny Yoro, who was wanted by Real Madrid.

Erik ten Hag and Co. remain in the market for new talent as a fresh report claims they have added three names to their transfer wish-list that haven't been mentioned before.

And, according to Spanish outlet SPORT via Sport Witness, Man United have shown an interest in Palmeiras midfielder Richard Ríos, who has seen his price tag skyrocket following the Premier League side's reported pursuit.

It was suggested that he could be snapped up for around €20 million, but the Brazilian outfit have increased his price tag by €70 million to a massive €90 million.

Man United fans on social media couldn't believe the fee Palmeiras are seeking for their prized asset.

One X user wrote: "lol, everyone wants to secure the bag."

A second tweeted: "No way do they think we paying that."

A third added: "United need to stay away from this deal then. Richard Rios is not worth that much. £50m Max."

A fourth said: "They can keep him, I wouldn’t pay £7.5m for him."

Another commented: "75M for someone no one knows."

Rios has enhanced his budding reputation after impressing with Colombia at this summer's Copa America.

Ten Hag's side aren't the only team believed to be eyeing his services as Serie A giants AC Milan and Juventus are also in the mix.

Everton were interested in Rios, too, as Palmeiras' demands were a lot lower until Man United entered the race.
