Manchester United are targeting a move for a star midfielder who has been compared to Zinedine Zidane and was recommended by Erik ten Hag.
Man United have recruited Matheus Cunha from Wolves and remain in the market for new players, with Brentford's Bryan Mbeumo on their transfer wish-list.
Ruben Amorim is thought to be keen on signing a new No.9, too, with Sporting CP's Viktor Gyokeres, Napoli's Victor Osimhen and Aston Villa's Ollie Watkins, who has made his feeling clear on a move to Old Trafford, on his radar.
And it appears Amorim is also eyeing a midfielder, with Foot Mercato claiming Man United are interested in signing Paris Saint-Germain's Fabian Ruiz.

Man United, however, face stiff competition to acquire his services this summer as Saudi Pro League sides, including Al Nassr, are also in the running for Ruiz.

The Red Devils are looking to bolster their midfield options ahead of the new season, having parted ways with Christian Eriksen, who was released upon the expiration of his contract.
The report states that PSG are 'counting on' Ruiz and is highly regarded by Luis Enrique, who considers him a 'key' player.

PSG had great success with Ruiz, Vitinha and Joao Neves last season and want to continue with the midfield trio for years to come.
He made 58 appearances across all competitions in PSG's remarkable campaign last season. They won four trophies, including the Champions League.
The Spaniard also shone in last summer's European Championship, inspiring his national team to glory.

Ruiz has previously been compared to Real Madrid and France legend Zinedine Zidane and was recommended by ex-Man United manager Erik ten Hag, who viewed him as an Frenkie de Jong alternative.
On being compared to Zidane, the 29-year-old said: "It's a big deal to compare myself to Zidane. I always try to help the team by giving my best and repay the coach's trust. It's a huge pride to represent my country. It's the greatest thing."
Ruiz made his name in Spain with Real Betis before securing a move to Napoli in the summer of 2018.
He signed for PSG in 2022 and has played 130 games for the club.
