Manchester United fans think two players need to leave the club this summer after their performances during the 1-0 defeat to Tottenham on Sunday.

Ruben Amorim's side suffered their eighth Premier League defeat under the Portuguese's management since November 23 in what was another difficult afternoon.

United had chances either side of half-time to score, with Alejandro Garnacho's effort from close range perhaps the best of those, but James Maddison's rebound goal in the first half was enough to secure victory for Ange Postecoglou's side.

There were questions over Amorim's tactical setup, especially with Casemiro and Bruno Fernandes lining up in central midfield.

Gary Neville called the space that was being allowed to Spurs attackers due to the setup as 'embarrassing'.

United's bench was made up of academy players, except for defender Victor Lindelof, due to an injury and illness crisis among the first team squad.

Amorim did not make any substitutions until the 91st minute, bringing on 17-year-old striker Chido Obi to replace Casemiro.

That meant the starting XI were trusted to do the job at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium - but they left with nothing.

And after the match, United fans were critical of the performance - but criticised two players in particular for their displays in north London.

Taking to Twitter, one fan wrote: "Rasmus Hojlund needs to leave the club this summer. I've had enough, I've seen enough."

Another said: "Rasmus Hojlund never looked like scoring against this awful Spurs defence. Chido Obi should've come on way earlier."

A third wrote: "Hojlund desperately needs to keep running the channels and stretching the back line if he's going to survive here."

A fourth added: "I don't want to see Hojlund and Casemiro back in the XI."

And a fifth simply stated: "Casemiro needs to leave."

United are next in action on Saturday as they travel to take on in-form Everton at Goodison Park.
