Incoming Manchester United minority owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe is reportedly 'open to offers' for midfielder Casemiro in January.

Ineos founder Ratcliffe is close to finalising a deal which will see him take a 25 per cent stake in the club.

Ratcliffe will take control of the sporting department and is ready for an extensive overhaul following a decade of mismanagement at Old Trafford.

Per talkSPORT, he's willing to cash in on Casemiro, with clubs from Saudi Arabia interested.

Casemiro joined United from Real Madrid in a £60 million deal in 2022 after manager Erik ten Hag failed to land top transfer target Frenkie de Jong.

The Brazil international arrived with experience to his name, including five Champions League titles from his time in Spain.

Despite a solid first season, Casemiro has struggled this term. He was sent off in a 3-2 defeat to Galatasaray in the Champions League in October and looks to have lost a yard of pace.

He's currently out with a hamstring injury and isn't expected to return until after Christmas.

Now aged 31, Casemiro's whopping £350,000-per-week wages and limited resale value means United need to act fast if they want to recoup the fee they paid 16 months ago.

Ratcliffe is ready to approve Casemiro's departure to fund a rebuild for Ten Hag.

The Manchester Evening News claimed just last month that Casemiro was an 'undroppable' player for Ten Hag.

United are currently sixth in the Premier League. Despite a tough start to the season, which has seen them get knocked out of the Carabao Cup and on the brink of Champions League elimination, they're the most in-form team in the division.

They've won four out of their last five, with the latest victory coming against Luton Town on Saturday afternoon.

Victor Lindelof scored the only goal of the game as United came out on top 1-0.

Christian Eriksen and Rasmus Hojlund went off injured in the game and have been forced to withdraw from international duty with Denmark.

"You don't want to lose any player this is also our season, so many injuries," Ten Hag said when asked about United's injury list post-match. "We talk about it many times, the routine levels in your team, in the style of play.

"At this moment with Rasmus, I can't say anything about it because I don't know. We do an assessment but have to wait for 24 hours to see the conclusion and if there is a problem. Christian slipped, but it is the same."
