Manchester United have shown interest in a Real Madrid star ahead of the summer transfer window reopening, according to stunning reports.

Man United are thought to be in the market for another forward following the acquisition of Rasmus Hojlund from Atalanta last summer.

Hojlund joined the Old Trafford outfit for a whopping £72 million, with the Dane bagging 13 goals across all competitions so far this season.

Despite the big-money signing of the 21-year-old, Sir Jim Ratcliffe, who will take charge of the club's football operations following his 25 per cent purchase, is looking to bolster the Red Devils' front line.

A host of players have been linked with a move, including the likes of Napoli's Victor Osimhen and Bayern Munich's Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting.

There's a new name now doing the rounds in the transfer rumour mill, with a report in Spain claiming Man United have enquired about Joselu.

Relevo state Man United were in Spain recently to hold meetings with several agents and clubs to assess their options in the summer transfer window.

While they hold out for the arrival of sporting director Dan Ashworth from Newcastle United, they are laying out the groundwork for potential deals.

And it's thought they are preparing a move for Joselu, who is on loan at Real from Espanyol.

He's in his second spell at the club, having signed for them back in 2010.

Joselu returned last summer after penning a loan deal following a prolific campaign at Espanyol, where he bagged an impressive 16 La Liga goals.

The Bernabeu side have an option to make the deal permanent. This season, he has 14 goals in 38 games across all competitions.

The 34-year-old boasts Premier League experience, having played for Stoke City and Newcastle United.

He scored four league goals during his spell at Stoke and a combined six league goals during his two-season stint at Newcastle.
