Man Utd home and away kits for next season 'leaked' as fans spot Sir Alex Ferguson era detail

Fans think the new sponsor looks similar to the classic Vodafone sponsor.

Manchester United's home and away shirts for the 2024/25 campaign have been 'leaked' online.

Back in September, United announced a deal with American technology company Qualcomm that will see its Snapdragon brand replace TeamViewer as their front-of-shirt sponsor from the start of next season.

As a result, the instantly-recognisable Snapdragon logo, featuring a red-coloured S shape with dragon features on a white ball, will be slapped in the middle of United's home, away and third shirts for 24/25 and beyond.

A club statement read: "Snapdragon platforms will help enable ground-breaking experiences for fans across the globe, deepening their engagement with the football club they love."

Several months after the deal was announced and leaked images of the home and away jersey for next season have emerged online, with fans commenting on the new front-of-shirt sponsor.

Some compared Snapdragon's logo to old sponsor Vodaphone, who featured on the front of United's shirt from 2000 to 2006, while others simply mentioned "retro" vibes.

Here's how fans on social media reacted to the leaks.

One said: "This is giving me Ruud Van Nistelrooy Vodafone vibes and I’m all for that," while another commented: "This is giving Vodafone vibes."

A third said: "The black parts make that kit good for the simple reason it gives the retro United feel. Back when they were good."

A fourth wrote: "This would be nice. Looks very similar to the Vodafone one," while a fifth added: "They are actually really good."

In terms of the agreement with Manchester United and Qualcomm, who will promote their subsidiary brand Snapdragon, a statement in September gave some more insight into the deal that's worth a reported £60 million per year.

It read: "Manchester United plc has agreed to an expanded strategic collaboration with Qualcomm Technologies, Inc., that will see the Snapdragon brand displayed on the front of the club’s famous shirt.

"Qualcomm Technologies is already a global partner of Manchester United, promoting its Snapdragon brand.

"Snapdragon processors power premium products from the world’s biggest brands across smartphones, PCs, extended reality glasses, gaming devices, wearables, and connected cars.

"Under the expanded agreement, Snapdragon will become Manchester United’s front of shirt partner from the start of the 2024/25 season, featuring on the home, away and third kits of the men’s and women’s teams."
