Amad Diallo has fuelled speculation over his future by removing all Manchester United-related posts from his social media accounts, including Instagram and X.

The 21-year-old winger, who impressed during a loan spell at Championship side Sunderland last season, has struggled for first-team minutes since returning to Old Trafford.

He picked up a serious knee injury during pre-season and returned to full training with the first-team squad in December, which was seen as a huge boost ahead of a busy schedule.

But the Ivorian has since played just 63 minutes in all competitions; something that seems to be a source of frustration for Diallo, who joined the ranks at United in 2021 for a reported £37.2 million.

In fact, Diallo appears to have deleted everything related to the club from his social media accounts, with the three remaining Instagram posts dedicated to Sunderland.

On top of that, the winger has updated his X bio. It now reads, "Tout cela finira…" which translates to, “This will all end”.

Diallo memorably lifted the PFA Fans' Player of the Year award during his time at the Stadium of Light, as well as Sunderland's Young Player of the Year award after scoring 14 goals in 42 games.

Kristjaan Speakman, the technical director at Sunderland, confirmed that the Championship club made an attempt to re-sign him on a six-month loan deal in January

“Amad would have been one of those three or four targets [that we were working on] but there are factors we have no control over," he told Sunderland Nation.

Erik ten Hag was full of praise for the former Atalanta forward in December after he made an impressive cameo appearance in their 2-1 defeat against Nottingham Forest.

“Yeah, he is very ball secure," said Ten Hag. "He can bring a key actions, final passes, score a goal. And so I think he has some weapons. That is always what you are looking for with offensive players."

Ahead of United's clash against Fulham last month, the Dutchman claimed that Diallo "deserves to play" after impressing in training but those first-team opportunities continue to pass him by.
