An apparent transfer target of Manchester United's was spotted at the 2026 PDC World Darts Championship.

This week, the latest edition of the PDC World Darts Championship will come to an end, with Luke Littler looking to defend his title.

On Monday night, the 18-year-old had to dig deep as he beat Rob Cross 4-2 at the Alexandra Palace, London.

Littler was booed by a section of the crowd, and the teenager hit back during his on-stage interview.

Meanwhile, the likes of Luke Humphries, Michael van Gerwen and Gian van Veen are looking to end Littler's reign.

The PDC World Darts Championship is the biggest tournament in the sport and often attracts a number of big-name athletes.

For example, the likes of Peter Crouch, James Maddison, Brennan Johnson and Micky van de Ven were all spotted at Ally Pally over the last few weeks.

This week, one United transfer target, in the shape of AZ Alkmaar midfielder Kees Smit, was also spotted watching the darts.

Smit was seen wearing a Shaun the Sheep outfit as he took in the action along with some of his friends.

It has been claimed that AZ Alkmaar will be looking to bring in around £52 million to part ways with Smit.

Another commented: "Sign him for this alone."

A third fan added: "100 million quid talent there."

Aside from United, it has been reported that the likes of Newcastle United, Real Madrid, Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund are also interested in Smit.
