Manchester United fans have finally had enough of Erik ten Hag after his comments following the 3-0 loss to Liverpool on Sunday.

United suffered back-to-back defeats in the Premier League and dropped to 14th in the table after three games.

Luis Diaz struck brace in the first half before Mo Salah scored his 15th goal in 16 games against the Red Devils.

Although United have brought in a host of new players, two of which made their first starts at Old Trafford, the same problems persisted and they were carved open by their opponents on so many occasions.

They finished eighth in the Premier League and lost 14 games last term but the FA Cup triumph over Manchester City was enough for Ten Hag to keep his job.

But in his post-match interview, Ten Hag claimed the same issues from last year are not present, telling Sky Sports: "I don't think it’s right to say it feels same as last year.

"You can see the xG we didn't concede as many goals. I don't think we are in the same pattern.

“Well done, Liverpool. We have to be humble and take it."

United fans, however, were not having it whatsoever and think he ought to be relieved of his duties in the near future.

One vented: "Sack this bald fraud. Absolute disgrace to the club."

A second echoed the sentiment, stating: "Sack Ten Hag ASAP."

A third fumed: "Can we stop this guy from doing interviews full stop? My head gets even hotter when he speaks."

Another commented: "Stop yapping and get out."

A final user added: "He brought up xG, he’s the new Pochettino."

Ten Hag is once again under huge pressure and his new assistant manager Ruud van Nistelrooy is now the favourite to replace him should they give him the boot.

Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher likened the situation to Brendan Rodgers' final days at Anfield and doesn't see Ten Hag managing for the full campaign given the state the team is in.

"I’d be surprised if he’s still in charge at the end of the season," he said on Sky Sports.

"The football, the way they talk about playing, Jason Wilcox made a statement last season about a philosophy of play. There isn’t one. You can see it with Slot in the first three games.

"It doesn’t mean he’s going to be successful. There’s different ways of playing but you can already see something, the way they try and play and the profile of players that they’re looking for.

"With United it looks a mess of players on the pitch."
