Lisandro Martinez absolutely tore into Manchester United and technical director Jason Wilcox in a shocking interview after the 2-0 loss to Atletico Madrid.
Manchester United's disastrous run of form continued on Tuesday night as they suffered a devastating 2-0 loss to Atletico Madrid in the Champions League.
However, if the result wasn't bad enough, defender Martinez appears to have made things even worse after he did a post-match interview slamming the club hierarchy and his teammates with shocking comments.

Just seconds into the match, a clever goal from Pablo Barrios put the home side 1-0 up, forcing United to try to chase an equaliser that they ultimately failed to get.

In the second half, things got even worse as former Everton and Fulham midfielder Ademola Lookman scored Atletico Madrid's second goal not long after United defender Leny Yoro was shown a red card in the final 15 minutes
But the worst was yet to come, as Martinez decided to go on the offensive after the final whistle, criticising how the club has been run and calling out technical director Wilcox in a stunning interview.
"Really poor. I have to control myself a lot. Sometimes it's a reflection in the mirror of our club at this moment," Martinez said on Amazon Prime.
"We had a fantastic season last season and I expect more from the top to bring more players to compete because many teams bring many players.
“I expect more from our technical director, I have to be honest and also as players we have to do more."
Martinez claimed that he felt that the United board had failed to invest in the team over the summer, saying he felt that manager Michael Carrick had not been backed properly.
“I don’t think so. He does his best but every season is different. You can't say what you did last season," Martinez claimed.
"If you don’t change, next season it’s a big problem. You keep changing managers but what about other areas? Tonight, it’s easy to say the coach, the players, but also we have to see others, huh?”
After the interview, Martinez's teammate Youri Tielemans, who joined United from Aston Villa over the summer, refused to comment on the claims, as did Carrick.
Meanwhile United legend Wayne Rooney criticised Martinez's actions, suggesting it was disrespectful and unfair to his teammates and could ultimately lead to a punishment for his words.

What punishment could Lisandro Martinez face for shocking Champions League interview?
Martinez's stunning claims are somewhat reminiscent of Mohamed Salah's explosive interview after Liverpool's 3–3 draw with Leeds United in December 2025 in which he criticised head manager Arne Slot and said the club had thrown him under the bus.
Following the interview, Salah was dropped from Liverpool's squad and left behind for the Champions League match against Inter Milan.
It therefore stands to reason that Martinez could face a similar punishment, with it seeming likely that he could miss out on the trip to Elland Road to face fierce rivals Leeds United on Sunday.
Alternatively the club could dock Martinez's wages for breaching club media guidelines or for bringing Manchester United's reputation into question.
