Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has named his squad for the 2023/24 Champions League campaign.

United have been drawn against Bayern Munich, Galatasaray and FC Copenhagen in Group A on their return to the competition.

They kick off their European campaign with a trip to face Bayern at the Allianz Arena on September 20.

Ten Hag has now named his 25-man squad for the competition and the announcement has provided several clues over United players' futures.

Donny van de Beek has been left out of the squad entirely, with the midfielder seemingly destined to leave the Red Devils this summer.

After a deadline day move to Lorient failed to happen, Van de Beek is now being linked with Galatasaray.

The Turkish transfer window only shuts on September 15 and Galatasaray have opened talks to sign the Dutch midfielder, who has failed to live up to expectations since joining in a £35m move from Ajax in 2020.

Jadon Sancho has been named in the squad despite his recent falling out with Ten Hag.

The England international was not included in United's matchday squad for their defeat to Arsenal at the weekend, with Ten Hag later revealing that he had been dropped due to issues in training.

Sancho hit back at Ten Hag with a statement on social media, in which he branded Ten Hag's claims "untrue" while insisting he had been made a "scapegoat".

The pair are set to hold showdown talks this week and it has been suggested that Sancho may look to leave United.

However, it appears he is firmly part of Ten Hag's plans after being named in the Champions League squad.

Jonny Evans has also been included after signing a one-year deal with the club, while new signing Sofyan Amrabat has also made the cut.
