Inter Milan are reportedly preparing to launch a pursuit of a Manchester United player shortly after their Champions League final.

With just a couple of matches left for almost for almost every European club this season, football fans are already starting to look ahead to what is expected to be a very busy summer transfer window.

But before the window opens, Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain will look to claim their first Champions League trophy in a match against an Inter Milan side that defied the odds on their road to the final.

However, that hasn't stopped the Italian side from beginning to work on securing some big deals in the summer, as a report has claimed they are considering making a move for a Manchester United forward shortly after the Champions League final.

It's safe to say that since his arrival from Serie A side Bologna in July 2024, Joshua Zirkzee has failed to live up to expectations at United.

The Dutchman has scored only scored three Premier League goals in 32 appearances this season, and yet, Inter Milan reportedly view him as a perfect player to bring in this summer.

According to Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport, Inter Milan have been impressed by Zirkzee's improved form in the second half of the season and believe he could compete with their first choice strikers Marcus Thuram and Lautaro Martinez.

That being said, they are currently not open to a straight sale, and would instead prefer agreeing a loan deal with an option to buy should he perform as expected.

Inter boss Simone Inzaghi is said to be concerned with the gap in quality between his starting strikers and squad options Marko Arnautovic and Medhi Taremi, with Zirkzee the ideal target to fix this issue.

Should a deal not be possible, then Inter will reportedly also consider making moves for Serie A strikers Nico Paz, Giacomo Raspadori and Ange-Yoan Bonny.

Zirkzee was previously linked with a return to Italy over the winter transfer window, as rumours of a deal with Juventus began to circulate.

However, it appears that his interest may no longer exist after the Italian giants sacked, who managed Zirkzee at Bologna.
