Jack Grealish accidentally violated Harry Maguire live on Sky Sports and it just about sums up the Manchester United defender's season so far.

Maguire has endured a difficult few months at Old Trafford, losing the captaincy to Bruno Fernandes over the summer.

While his form for England hasn't been much better, with the 30-year-old scoring an own-goal against Scotland after coming on at half-time.

His performances led to an stream of abuse aimed at Maguire, with the defender's mum publicly hitting out at fans.

The former Leicester man has now returned to the England squad for international duty, and a video of Grealish accidentally violating his Three Lions teammate has gone viral on social media.

During a live broadcast on Sky Sports News, they showed footage from St George's training ground where the players were taking part in a drill involving mannequins.

In the footage, Grealish accidentally knocked a mannequin, hilariously flicking it up into Maguire's face, who was stood leaning against it.

Maguire was drafted into start United's last match against Brentford alongside 35-year-old Jonny Evans in the absence of first-choice duo Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane.

Maguire played a role in the winning goal, heading the ball back across the penalty area to Scott McTominay, who did the rest.

Speaking while away on international duty, Maguire addressed his lack of starts under Erik ten Hag, but hailed his winning record with the club.

"It's not my decision to whether I start the next game or not," he told reporters earlier this week.

"I'm sure in a couple of weeks I'll go back and find out. If you look back on my last 15-20 starts for club and country, I would be happy to sit here and say I'm really happy with my performances.

"My record under this manager speaks for itself. I haven't started as many games as I like [for United], but my win percentage when I've played is ridiculously high. Of course there are times when I could do more and times when I could improve and help the team.

"But I'm just wanting to help the team, I'm wanting to help the team get out of this position we're in at the moment. Hopefully we can do that in the coming weeks."
