Manchester United fans have made their feelings clear on who should replace Erik ten Hag as manager following their latest setback.

Man United suffered a damaging 3-0 home defeat to Tottenham last weekend.

Ten Hag's side went behind early on when Brennan Johnson tapped home from close range after Micky van de Ven cut through the hosts.

The Red Devils were then reduced to 10 men following Bruno Fernandes' controversial dismissal as the visitors added a second and third in the second-half.

Pressure is once again mounting on Ten Hag, who reportedly has two games to turn his fortunes around before potentially being relieved of his duties at Old Trafford.

Should the board sack the Dutchman, then Man United fans have a clear No.1 target to replace him.

SPORTbible ran a poll on Instagram asking supporters who should the club bring in if they fired Ten Hag.

And Thomas Tuchel was the overwhelming winner ahead of Ruud van Nistelrooy and Gareth Southgate.

Tuchel, who has managed in the Premier League with Chelsea, was linked with replacing the 54-year-old during the summer.

It appears fans want the German boss at Man United should the club's current boss be dismissed.

Van Nistelrooy finished behind Tuchel in the poll as the former Man United forward returned to the club as assistant manager.

And like Tuchel, Southgate's name was also mooted amid uncertainty regarding Ten Hag's position at the end of last season.

Despite intense scrutiny, Ten Hag isn't thinking about losing his job.

Speaking after his team's crushing defeat to Spurs, he said: "I'm not thinking about being sacked. We all made this decision to stay together in the summer, as an ownership group, leadership group.

"Also we made the decision, after a clear review, what we have to improve as an organisation and how to construct a squad.

"All decisions are made in togetherness, also knowing it would take some time. We are all there on one page, one boat, the ownership, the leadership group, the staff and players too."

He added: "But we knew it would take some time, because of how the (transfer) window went, some players late in like [Manuel] Ugarte, also we have to make some improvement in the organisation.

"We still have to deal with some injuries, also from some impact players.

"I think we will get better there. We need some time. We are all on one page or in one boat together, the ownership, the leadership group, the staff and the players group as well. I don’t have that concern."
